Questions
How is this different from a flashcard app?
Flashcard tools work. The labour is the problem. Someone has to write and maintain every card, and for most people that is where it quietly stops. Vesprit extracts the concepts from your material, so there is nothing to author, and it orders each session by what you are most likely to have lost.
Who is it for?
Anyone learning something they will still need to know months from now. An exam, a certification, a course, a new field at work. If you are taking on new material faster than you can hold on to what came before, that is the situation Vesprit is built for.
Does it work with PDFs?
Yes. PDFs, lecture slides and pasted text are all ways in. Chapter by chapter works best, which is how serious study tends to happen anyway.
Can I upload lecture slides?
Yes. Slide decks are treated the same as any other source. The concepts are pulled out for you either way.
How much time does it take?
A session is ten concepts. For most material that is a few minutes, once a day.
Will there be an iPhone version?
Yes. We are starting on Android, and iPhone is planned after that. No date yet.
